Testimonials
"Over the course of a year, I asked Peyton for notes on a screenplay, a pilot
treatment, and a YA novel. All three of them had been shopped around a bit but had not sold. Peyton broke each project down at a granular level and her impeccably thorough notes showed me what was missing. She didn't respond to my work like she was just doing me a favor and offering polite encouragement; she actively made my projects better by being honest. She is not afraid to point out the flaws in your story but she also offers fixes. She gives notes like an executive who bought the idea and has to make it succeed. As a result of Peyton's notes, all three of my projects sold within quick succession.
I'd buy stock in her if I could."

"Peyton McDavitt is a game-changer. Her counsel has helped me sell several scripts and pitches. She is the first person I turn to when I need help with a draft. I believe her story analysis and character insight is invaluable."

"Peyton was a fantastic surprise. She gave me the most helpful, thorough, detailed and comprehensive notes I’ve EVER received from anyone since day one. Her grasp of the material was better than mine and she provided me with both positive and negative feedback, along with a string of helpful alternatives. Was seriously blown away."

"Peyton McDavitt is the best thing that ever happened to my scripts, She has an incredible eye for detail and creation of a fascinating story and characters. She’s a detail-oriented editor who doesn’t let you get away with anything less than your best. She makes you feel like her only client. She is honest yet encouraging; when you hire her, you don’t just get a fantastic script reader, you get someone in your corner who’s genuinely rooting for you."
- Alexia Verbeke
(Screencraft finalist, WIF+BlackList semifinalist)

"I have honestly never met anyone who gives better notes or advice on scripts. As a former English professor with an MFA in Creative Writing, I usually know best about how to make great writing even better, but Peyton goes beyond. She also has a special magic about her that makes the work of revision and pitching feel easy and fun. I will be consulting her for all my writing projects from now on."
